The global community of today is undergoing a salient transmutation. Each and every cultural field manifests itself as a catalyst of this process, which motivates my association with art and it’s context. However, this mutation that is so alluring to us emerges under extraordinary conditions, and entails the most meticulous of prognostics. Today, we can neither refer to historical predicaments like we used to, nor can we expect traditional results.

My work commences by detecting the current position of fleeting artifacts, brought about by an ongoing process of deterritorialization and digitization. No longer speaking of a single source or origin, these cultural objects become subject to an uncommitted appeal, thereby enabling an intermingling with alternative contexts and content. In other words, they are to be seen as provisionally vacant and absorptive to new meaning, at least within it’s frames of re-evaluated affordance. Appropriating hypertextual structures like Wikipedia, I aid and intercept undesired directions and hierarchical access, by positioning a multitude of forms to remain on that same plane. Seafaring, the rules of tennis, Scandinavian folk tales, philosophy and romance are all enabled to coexist by materialization, and thus attaining homogeneity. At intervals, I strive to emphatically maximize quantities in my work, exhausting their previous customs in order to extract unexpected referential value. The reassembled matter I present initially establishes autonomy, only to recede to its fragmented bases by means of a notional relationship to it. The Postmodern distrust of grand theories and ideologies is comparably exhausted by it’s inherent principles, objectifying the very motivation of artistic practice into yet another disposable fabrication.

My drawings, sculptures, installations, paintings, videos and performances manifest themselves as desperate nullifications of faulty dialectics. They inherently yearn for and produce instrumental value to be conducted in obscure dimensions, remaining on an edge of autism conversant with a mystery. It is with this congregation that I endeavor a frantic recitation of a scornful dawn, with the most latent of reassessments.
